Pool costs (does not include elect) after first year

Just wanting to share some of the costs during my first year of ownership:

Pool service (2 months): $ 180
Conditioner: $ 30
Borates : 42
Balance Pak; $32
Cleaner bag + tail foam cover (2): $45
Muriatic Acid: 24 gallons at $5.50 each= $132

Total: $ 461

Since pool service will no longer apply, I am setting budget at $300 for next year as I may need to replace other accessories

I assume the Balance Pack is a bioguard product. Which pack is it? 100,200, or 300?

Pak 100...bought at the earliest stages of the pool, the pool store suggested i buy don't remember for what reason...

Dont waste your money on that stuff anymore. That stuff is alkalinity increaser (aka good old baking soda). You can get 10 pounds of that from Walmart or similar store for about 10 bucks for 10 pounds

Yeah...should have come to this site before the pool was ready to avoid those mistakes....In Any case, i assume those a "experience costs"...

On salt..yes I forgot to include salt....after start up dose (10 bags), I think I've added another 4 or 5...so need to add another $30 to the total
