I have an old LenGordan AS-2 air switch, my old blower went out so i replaced it, however, i cannot get it to turn on. I thik i may have goofed. :hammer: It looks like the Air switch is 240v. dos thismean my blower motor should be 240? The one i pulled off was a polaris and it showed 120v on it. I bought a 120v blower. I ran everything back through the air switch but it won't turn on. When i take the wires out of the motor and plug them straight into an extension cord the blower kicks on. need help if you can please.

The 240v rating on the switch doesn't have anything to do with whether your motor is 240. It's just the rating of the contacts and enclosure.

If you break the hot wire through the switch and leave the neutral and ground connected straight to the motor unless the switch is defective.

When you press the switch do you hear it "click"?
