This is the firts year of closing my in-ground pool and it went very well. I only have one question. I blew out all the lines and added red pop antifreeze to them all, now my concern in teh bottom drain, I did drain the water down below the return jets, after all else was treated, I added 1 gallon to the sucking line from the filter skid figuring it would run down the piping. There is really no way to remove the water from the lines without draining the pool, so will the 1 gallon in the line do the trick? it is about 35 feet from the filter skid to the bottom drains.

Without knowing where you are and what the piping looks like it's hard to say if 1 gallon is enough.
I am in southeast lower Michigan. I know it is hard to say, but theroreticly as long as the line is not full if it does freeze it will have room to expand up torwards the filter.
