cleaning debris off bottom inside the Liquidator

I've seen it mentioned several times in researching The Liquidator, but I've not come across exactly how to do it. Do what? Clean the debris off the bottom of the LQ! When it gets 1-1/2 to 2 inches thick (every 6 months or so as it says in the manual), what do I do to get rid of it?

I block the inlet tubing off and use the suction tubing to suck most of the water out of it and then dump it down the floor drain and rinse the tank out.
