I have an inground vinyl liner pool, I was told that adding DE to the cartridge filter would clean my pool water better.... It did but now I have whitish residue stuck to the bottom of my pool liner.... now can I clean and remove it from my pool????

Welcome to TFP. It should vacuum up if it's DE.
Can you give us a full set of test results?

Adding DE to a cartridge filter may not have been a good idea. Some mfg's say it's alright to add a little but some cartridges will be ruined by adding it.
