I have a question about these suction side cleaners.

I am having to replace my pump, and the person who owned the home before had a 2HP motor.

I am trying to decide between a 1HP or a 1.5HP motor. Does anybody have experience with these cleaners on a 1HP motor/Hayward Power-Flo pump? Is 1HP enough to make these work, or should I get 1.5HP?

Pretty much any 1hp pump will operate a suction side cleaner. I wouldn't hesitate to go with a 1hp and a suction side cleaner.

What about a 3/4 hp pump is that too small? Thanks..Bill

There are people here that are running suction side cleaners withe a 1/2hp pump so a 3/4hp would be fine.
