Rubber boots for odd sized pipes

Whilst working out how to fit my 1.5 inch standard flexible pipe to my intex odd sizing I came across this site. They do boots that simply clamp at either end. Hope this is of use to others. I plan to connect my pipes to the intex in and out plungers in the side of my intex pool. Comments?

The only things that I would be hesitant about are:
1) the metal Hose clamps. they can creat nice gouges in peopl and possibly the pool itself
2) is there enough of a nipple on the pool for the pipe to mount.

My thought is that now would be a great time to redo as much as you can with rigid PVC, and you'll never have to worry about stuff like this again! By the way, I'm not a fan of flex pipe!
