Will pool pump burn itself out?

I've been shocking due to an algae issue and I have been running my pump/filter non-stop 24/7 for 3 days straight.

I just don't see how I can keep circulating the bleach and moving the algae thru the system without doing so.

I have the 2,000 gph Intex SWG (not running the generator), just the pump.

Is this okay to do, or will I burn up this pump soon?

Also, is it necessary when shocking to run the pump 24/7?

I have run my Hayward Northstar 24/7 365 days a year for 5 years non-stop. And yes, it did lose its bearings in the end. I think that you will be safe for a couple of years, or until your algae disappears which I hope will be sooner. I have just replaced it, by the way, with a Pentair Intelliflo and I am down to 19 hours per day but using only 200W or less. Just need to decide what plane to buy next on the savings.
