A newbie DIY pool build

This year we finished the retaining walls, started the water feature wall, and built the wood deck minus the railing which I am still waiting on the city to approve my revision to a glass railing.

Bin in the house 7 years and still don't have a usable deck. Will be nice to finally get to use it next year. I'm into next to no maintenance so I went with Ipe decking and glass railing. Should only have to oil the Ipe every two years.

Wow, ipe huh! I was gonna ask what kind of wood it was. How did you like working with it? I've heard it is difficult to saw/drill/etc.

Yeah I was a little worried about that but it wasn't a big deal. A good saw blade and drill bit did the trick. I was hoping to get it oiled this year but the weather isn't cooperating so looks like a next year job. I will say the stuff is heavy though, the 2x12x12 stair stringers weighed a ton.
