Aqua Pool Under Investigation By State
Contractors State License Board Posting Complaint Disclosure

MANTECA, Calif. -- One of Northern California's largest pool and spa builders is under investigation by the state.

The Contractors State License Board is looking into a rash of recent complaints against Aqua Pool and Spa in Manteca for shoddy workmanship.

The CSLB said there may be probable violations of state contractor laws that could lead to legal action against the license.

Based on that, the CSLB is posting a complaint disclosure on its website on Aqua Pool's license, warning consumers about the ongoing investigation.

The CSLB said two of the company's officers recently dissassociated from the company's license. The two former officers have filed an application with the CSLB for a license for a new pool and landscaping company.

Aqua Pool and Spa has been operating under its current license since 2001.

...

I wonder - Did they disassociate before the investigation started to come down (honestly couldn't work under the conditions); or did they leave after it looked like the "stuff would hit the fan" and plan to continue fleecing under a new name.
