Changing filters

We currently have a Hayward Pro Series S-210T filter.

It is at least 10 years old (had it since we bought the house).

Our multiport valve is leaking and needs to be replaced.

We did have a bit of luck and we inherited a nearly new Hayward Pro S-224T filter including a multi port valve.

Should I replace the filter as well, since I have one anyway.

Also, is there any issue with moving to a slightly bigger filter?

Do I have to worry about my motor or anything else?
