Electrician in Houston area

Does anyone know of a good electrician in the houston area? We are looking to get a ceiling fan installed in a room where that is not one right now.

I'd call Mr.Handyman and see if they have someone close. They show 6 locations for the Houston area.

Is there already a light fixture in that location? If so, it's really really easy to do yourself.

That is the problem. The place we want to put it there is no light or anything. There are lights in the room, but it was done weird and they are off to the side. They are also recessed lights that are in the room if that makes sense. We have someone coming out today to do it.

If you do it in place of an existing light you NEED(BETTER) to make sure the existing box is anchored correctly for a fan.

I had a friend of mine come in and do it for me. The place we put it there was actually already a brace in the means of a 2X4. Got it all hooked up last night. The electrician that wanted to do it, wanted to charge 611 dollars. My friend who does electric work did it for 150.00.
