inflatable pool on asphalt?

Hi,
I just got an inflatable pool - a bestway -with the inflatable ring on top.
The instructions say not to put it on asphalt - though the spot we intend to put the pool on is on the asphalt behind our house.
What is the problem or risk of putting it on asphalt?
(we would put a tarp under the pool - ie.between it and the asphalt).

I think the main issues are abrasion of the liner/body of the pool rubbing against the asphalt, and the surface being very hard if you fall in the pool. Some of the intex owners put sheets of styrofoam under the pools to pad the bottom and give it a better feel. You can look at this intex thread for more information about the process.
