Just went to the local pool store for muriatic acid. I asked if they sold liquid chlorine and the lady said it is illegal to sell it in Mississippi. Ever heard of anything like that? I wonder if the Home Depot down the street knows about that. They have it on the shelf.

The law just about everywhere allows stores to sell 6%, but there are many places where you can't sell 10% or 12.5%. Or rather the rules for selling 10% or 12.5% are too difficult for most places to bother. There is a reasonable chance that Home Depot is only selling 6%, while the store was talking about 10%/12.5%. Of course, they might just be lying.
