Just wanted to give everyone an update on my algae situation. The pool is finally clear of algae and the FC level is at 2 or 3 in the afternoons. I normally add enough chlorine to get it up to 4 each night and the algae seems to be gone. (knock on wood). Last week I did scrub under the ladder really good and took my finger and noticed that there were little pockets about the size of a quarter under the steps and there was algae there that my brush couldn't reach. So I took my fingers and scraped the algae out until I didn't see anymore. It was gross! But I'm hoping that maybe that was the invisible culprit behind the never ending algae!
