I need to know why :-) HTH Super Shock-it

I have always dissolved the shock in a bucket and then poured it into the pool at the inlet so it gets well spread in the pool. I really don't like granules laying aroud on my pool liner. (21 ft round above gound pool.)

My wife just bought a box of HTH Super Shock-It. The instructions for use say "broadcast" directly into the pool and NOT to dissolve first.

There are several warnings on the package but I still want to dissolve it first. Is it really dangerous to put it into a bucket?

I also dissolve cal-hypo in a large bucket and mix it up if I'm not putting it directly into the skimmer.

Everything I add to my pool, except muriatic acid, goes full-strength, slowly into the skimmer....it's painless.

The skimmer sounds like a good idea and is more like my kind of preferred effort level :lol:
