    pool slide - leak repair

    Type of Slide: Interfab X-Stream

Problem: leaking at all 3 joints - 3 slide segments plus the platform at the top of the steps

Clean fix: Replace gaskets at $28 per gasket, total $84

Cheap (temporary?) fix: caulk the joints - this was attempted by the previous owner and the caulking has deteriorated.

    Suggestions?
    (1) Pool size - I think about 35,000 gals? Pool is 20' x 40'
    (2) Sand filter
    (3) AG
    (4) Vinyl
    (5) Pump: 1.5 hp Hayward super pump Filter: Hayward S240 (I think 65 cfm)

you can try to disassemble the slide and put jacks lube on the gaskets and reassemble them. Other than replacing the gaskets, 100 % silicone might work at the joints.
