Kreepy Krauly Kruiser Hoses

Hi all,

I recently picked up the Kreepy Krauly Kruiser for my pool. Works pretty well, especially after I replace the 20 year old cartridge filter with a nice new DE filter .

My question is the hoses it comes with... It's not long enough to reach the end of my pool (20 x 40) IG Vinyl. Can I use any vacuum hose I can get from Pool store or online... OR do I need to use the special sectioned hoses that come with the Kreepy?(They seem pretty $$)

It might be possible to use a section of the standard vacuum hose but the spiral sectioned hoses are bouyant and the standard vacuum hose isn't. That might be an issue for the cleaner.

Also note different brands may not interchange . I had an original kreepy krauly and its hoses would interchange with the hoses from the cheap clone unit I bought at Lowes to replace it, however the clone hoses were not as flexible. My most recent vacuum a "dirt devil" unit will not interchange with either.
