Salt and Borax

Is there any disadvantage or advantage to using both 2000ppm salt and 50ppm Borax? I am not using a salt generator, just thinking about adding salt for the feel of the water.

The 50 ppm of borates does reportedly have some algaestatic properties. Always a good thing there.

Just the advantages/disadvantage of using each separately. Both give a subjective improvement in water feel. Borax gives an algaestatic benefit and stabilizes pH. At 2000ppm of salt the increase in corrosiveness is negligible.
