I was reading in another thread how salt kills vegetation. That got me wondering if you have to be careful where you backwash if you have salt in your pool?
There is a very low risk from backwashing a salt pool, but not zero risk. In most areas of the country it will be totaly fine. In some places salt can accumulate over the years and cause problems after twenty or thirty years. There are also a few plants that are particuarly salt sensitive. For most people the area they backwash to is the greenest in their yard even with salt.
