Who to choose?

My wife and I have recently started pricing pools. We have met with 3 different companies. The prices and equipment are varying. One company wants to do a sand filter and a gas heater (we need to heat it) the other two are want to do d.e. filters and heat pump for a heater. The variance in price from one to the next is almost $9000! They will be inground steel pools with the vinyl lining, all the same pool,i guess, so what the heck do i do? the cheap one sounds almost too good to be true and i also dont want to get ripped off!

List your location and the pool specs and someone might be able to give you some sound advice. Prices and build quality vary so much around the country that it is impossible to give generic advice.

Ask the builders for references - recent customers you can talk to. Check BBB. Heck, just google their business names and see what comes up!

The more details (ie: equipment brand, model #'s, PB name, $ amounts......) the more everybody can assist you.
