    New House, New pool

My husband and I just bought our first and forever home with a lovely pool. Soon I'm going to get around to figuring out how many gallons and how deep it is. It's definitely at least 8 feet deep and has an attached spa.

We've had a LOT of rain these past few days and the pool is cloudy and my cheap test kit is not helping me! Will order better kit right away.

We (OK, I) have a lot of questions...will post pics and questions soon.

    20K gallon, gunite w/attached spa
    2 HP WhisperFlow pump
    Kreepy Krauly Cleaner
    DE Filter
New Gas heater being installed in a few days

A commendable start, ordering a good test kit right way.

16K freeform gunite with spa; Pentair 4000 DE filter; Century Whisperflow 1 HP; Pentair Minimax heater.
Troublefree does not mean Maintenancefree. It's like brushing your teeth: You can spend a couple minutes a day and pennies a week or go to the dentist once a year and spend several thousand dollars.
A pool is like a pet - you have to feed it every day, even the days you don't want to play with it!
