I just had my pool guy purchase the Auto-pilot DG-220, based on my friends true belief that this is the best system. My pool guy said he's had no experience with it. He is sold on the Goldline salt gen system. My pool is a fiberglass 18K gallon pool. Has anyone seen difference in the two systems?

In my opinion, the AutoPilot units are fancier higher end units, while the Hayward are top selling main stream units. AutoPilot has several features that the others don't have, like the alphanumeric display that tells you things in English instead of code numbers and temperature compensation. Hayward/Goldline units are fine, well reviewed reliable units, but they don't have all the features the AutoPilot units have.
