    Sand Filter Questions and Help

    Hello TFP Family,

My recently found pool guy, who actually offerred me the best pool prices for my work that is non-DIY here in Atlanta, is suggesting that I should get a sand filter. I wanted to know if a Sand Filter is a good choice, and also is their a comparable sand filter, for my SMBW 2000? I believe the pool maybe 25,000 galls, but I am honestly not sure.

Just want to get some tips on what to look for, and also should I get the filter used?

    Thanks for all the help!

Re: Sand Filter Questions and Help

You'll want a 300lb+ sand filter...buying used is always a gamble, but if you can get a good deal may be worth a shot.

Here is a nice example of how a well balanced pool w/ a sand filter can look
24'x52" AGP (13,500 Gallons), Intex SWG, (2)Solar Bear 4x20 panels, Hayward S220T Filter, 1/2hp Pentair Superflo
