My surface skimmer does good on my 18foot intex easy set pool. I thought of running it all the time but was wandering if it would filter water on bottom as well.

pool looked great today. I just was wandering if only water on top would get filtered. Kind of stupid thought o guess.

Your pool return flow should be mixing up and turning the water over enough that what's at the bottom doesn't stay there long. This can sometimes be a challenge in Intex pools due to the pump/filter system deficiencies. Watch to see where debris collects when the pump has been running - more regular brushing or more time with the vac may be needed to clean up and turn over bottom water
i usually just get a small pile of debri in middle. nothing bad at all. i can scoop it out in 10 sec with net. i aim the return nozzle the opposite direction of the inlet and down so that it makes a circle persay.
