I am trying to replace the gaskets (inside and outside) on my friends' above ground pool return jets. I have successfully removed the hose and hose adapter, but can't seem to get the fitting to let loose of the large nut on the outside of the pool. We worked on this crazy thing for 4 hours yesterday and it won't budge. We actually broke the inside part of the fitting trying to turn it. I'm afraid to try and turn it much more cause it's so tight that it's pulling and wrinkling the liner. I'm at a loss here :? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this thing to loosen up? Thanks so much in advance for any help.

I'd break the nut off on the outside and replace the entire return fitting. Expecially considering that you've already broken the face piece.
