Screw broken in automatic pool cover...

I have a PoolSaver automatic pool cover. Unfortunately the screw inside the motor has broken. So, while the motor is rotating fine, it is not turning the wheel which holds the rope.
I belive I can open the assembly and put in a new screw. But - what kind of screw do i need?
Any help will be really appreciated.

Can you get the old screw out and match it at a hardware store? Sorry I can't be more help.
