Black algae?

We noticed thin black streaks on the sides and bottom of the pool. At first I thought it was the vacuum leaving marks behind. I'm not so sure of that anymore. I scrubbed some of the streaks with a wire brush and then rubbed a chlorine puck on each but they are still there. Does anyone have pictures of black algae? And solutions for ridding it. Thanks.

Black algae is usually in the form of circular patches that start small (about the size of a coin) and get bigger with time. It takes a long time of too low a chlorine for it to start and is really the sign of pool pool maintenance over a perioud of weeks or months.
