    Newly constructed first time water fill - Phoenix Arizona

    My 40k gallon pool passed inspection and is ready for water, so I started this thread for advice on initial set up. I anticipate a few days for fill time. I tested my city water with the Taylor kit and found:

    pH 7.8
    TA= 130
    CH=330

    Therefore, my plan is to simply fill the pool and start the pumps, with perhaps just a small amount of liquid chlorine as it fills. Then, I will use the pool calculator to determine how much CYA to add and put the CYA in.

    Anything I'm missing?
    40,000 gal glass tile with BBB chemistry
    Dual Pentair cartridge filters

    The PH will need to be lowered to 7.4 and maintained at 7.4-7.6 with Muratic Acid.
