Should I Lower the TA?

Here are the TF-100 test results from this morning:

pH= 7.6
FC= 4.5
CC= 0
TA= 90
CYA= 30
CH=60
TEMP=68 degrees

After testing, we added 3 more pounds of CYA to begin increasing to a target level of 70. Is the TA high enough that we need to use the MA/aeration method to bring it down? Does TA tend to creep up over time?

Also, we purchased 55 pounds of boric acid to add borates to the water but have not done it yet. What should we do in preparation for the addition of the boric acid?

I suggest you lower TA to your target (mine would be 70) before adding borates.

Adjusting TA after adding borates is rather difficult.
