what wold it cost to convert over to SWG? i got a 24 round ABG. i would prolly do most of the work myself but would like to know prices for both doing the work myself and having it installed.

Hey Bradley...the cost would depend on the quality of the unit you install, but on a 24" can be done from anywhere in the $150 (Intex SWG) to upwards of $1K.
I have used the intex with good luck on our 24' round, but it is low frills and you get what you pay for...I prefer it over lugging bleach/chlorine and was all I could afford at the moment.

SWCG, $150 - >$1500
Assorted plumbing fittings, ~$100
Electrical power, $10 - $500
Labor, Free to $500
Salt, (9) 40# bags. $100 - $200
They're relatively easy to install if you have room in the piping for the cell and electrical supply for the controller power.
