Looking to replace the entire light with about the same- can I go with any other brand (are they standard?) ..Where is a good place to buy a light (besides Leslie's and online)?

The voltage supply has to be the same as well as the diameter of the hole. Weather or not the housing is plastered in place etc. may pose a issue. It may be possible to change the " guts " out providing any mounting screws etc. line up correctly.
