Is this Intex sand filter/pump any good?

It's amazing how Intex can sell this and their SWG for so much less than other companies. Their SWG seems to have good reviews that say it's an excellent product for the money (as long as it's on an appropriate sized pool).

This 100# sand filter and pump combo seems like a very good deal on a budget. AND it has a built in timer!

Why do other companies not at least offer a timer, even if it's an extra priced addon? (thinking about systems for AGP only).

Intex has been very innovative, finding ways to get the prices down and still throw in features that others don't offer. The other companies will catch up eventually, but not for a while. Keep in mind that Intex cuts a lot of corners. Their stuff is serviceable, but not great.

Yes I can believe that. I understand that it doesn't compare to higher end equipment, but for certain setups and sizes of pools, it looks to be a pretty good option when needing to stay in a certain price range.
