How often to run filter?

Hi pool gurus,

Thanks for all your help! my levels are alright. Now the filter .. do I need it to run it all day and nite I have a timer I use to run it from sun up to sun down any ideas??

Your pump is fairly large compared to your pool size. I doubt you need to run the pump more than eight hours a day, probably less than that. Depending on what your timer is capable of, you might want to split the pump run time into two or three segments spread out across the day/night. There is an article in Pool School on figuring out your ideal run time.
