DIY Equiptment pad?

Hey, it's YOU :shock: , welcome to TFP!! :handshake:

Any chance of posting a pic of where the pipes come up v.s. the proposed pad?

If the pipes don't have to go through the pad, it's better & easier :wink:

I can tell you how to do it either way :cool:

(busy time of the year for me, so please excuse my absence for a day or 2 after you respond)
 
I have almost finished doing what your about to start. Its definately worth it! - our old pad was causing us no end of grief and really needed to be something a little more robust, remote controllable and maintenance free. After the rebuild its been super smooth. By the time I finish it should be fully automated, including back washing the sand filter. Here are some piccies of how im going so far. They might be of interest.

ok well i took some pictures and my set up appears to be very basic, but I am still very new to this so excuse the ignorance.

We havent moved in yet and with the semester almost done I am planning to install a new filter and fix the problems with the equipment. Just went to the house today to "clean" the pool, the filter is broken so its just circulating water.

Apparently there is a pad but its not level and kind of small. It's probably about 3ft by 3ft. Can I pour a new larger pad over the existing one? or will I have to remove the current one?

Need a little more info about the leak. I am assuming the leak is where the brown looking stuff is on the pump. Is there a crack on the pump housing or on any of the pipes? If the leak is at the connection you can try re-plumbing that section. If the pump housing is cracked then you will need to replace the pump.

Looks good Steve,I plan on doing a complete pad reconfig this fall.I like the look of the clear 2" pipe, is that readily available anywhere ? Pricey ?
