    Howdy from Missouri!

    Hey everyone,

First I just want to say that I was fortunate enough to find this site before I was corrupted by the pool stores. I am a researcher my nature and wanted to learn all I could about pool care on my own. We bought a house this winter that came with a pool and it is my first experience with caring for one.

I just made my first post on the Pumping Staion and have a question about sand filter capacity. I am sure this may be the first of many questions I have after I open the pool in a couple weeks and start learning to use the BBB method.

Thanks in advance for all your help, this is a great site!!

Welcome, from a fellow Missourian. As a researcher, you'll love this place. Be sure to read Pool School at least twice. Ask anything - the people here are very helpful and friendly.
