O.K. I chose not to winterize my pool. All I did was blow out the deck jet lines. First winter with it. We are freezing here in Tennessee!!!! Temps have been below freezing x3-4 days and no hope for anything warmer for a few more days. Fortunatly I had a 9x12 building built around my equipment. I got the insulation done just before the artic blast :) I've also got a heat lamp in it since it has been so cold. My freeze protection is set to run my pump on low at 32. But this morning there was an ever so thin layer of ice forming in the corners of my pool. Do I need to do anything else except pray for above freezing temps???? :-D The temp in my pool building was 40 this morning. Is there something else I should be worried about??? Is the pump on low going to move the water enough to prevent a disaster???? I'm o.k with the temp in the pool house. Being a rookie, just didn't know if I was missing something outside of that. At least the sun is shining :)

You're in fine shape. Keep the pump on and relax. Temps would have to drop below 20 in the pump house before you should be concerned.

My pool is frozen solid except for a small corner.....that's all you need.......just a tiny bit of room for the ice to expand.

I can't thank you guys enough for the reassurance.

I just want to say thanks to this forum for all the great help I got in building this pool. I could have never done it correctly without all the help I got here. Lots of battles with the builder, :hammer: but I won most of those battles, thanks to the folks here at TFP who knew the correct way to do things. :whoot:
Hope everyone has a great 2010. Spring is just around the corner
