Oh this is funny stuff. Even between little towns here and there, different dialects - We have Polish towns, Norwegians, French towns, Germans (really German - Hudderite Colonies) and a number of Native Rez areas where everyone has their own way of talking. They all think I have an accent because I'm "mixed" (lots of folks are just one nationality - can you say INBRED?) and from "the Cities" to boot - ha, I've lived up here almost 28 years and they still think I talk funny.

EngTeach43 - 50 miles N of Grand Forks (where I go for groceries) my Corp office is in Fargo/Moorhead so I drive down there (125 miles) for meetings several times a month. I need a hybrid vehicle!
