Recently a Goldline valve actuator on my pool started to act up. After some investagation, I discovered that the electric motor inside was bad. The terrible part of this is that Goldline does not sell any replacement parts for their actuators. You have to purchase a complete new actuator.

I would like to know if anyone knows of any valve actuators for which a complete line of spare parts are available? I hate to throw out a piece of equipment, just because I can't get a simple part.

Have you taken the motor out and looked for markings / model numbers / brand name/ etc? You can usually google the part and buy a replacement. I'm sure Hayward does not make their own motors. I know Intermatic makes a version of the actuator that sells for less than the other brands if you have to buy new.
