Should I take it off for the winter and store at room temp, or is it OK to leave it there? I assume there's no water or humidity in the brass connector and T, but who knows for sure?
I remove them from Haywards and Pentairs and put them in the pump basket. Jandy's and Waterways get left alone.
Always remove threaded sight glasses. Those with screws through the center are left alone but I make certain there is no water in them.
We definitely get ice / snow / freezes here in MD, but we've never had anyone closing our pool in the past remove the gauge, and I wasn't planning to this time... If it matters, ours is mounted vertically on top of the filter canister and doesn't seem likely that more than a few drops of water would stay on it, much less cause a problem.
