Circulation pump won't stop running

Hi my circulation pump keeps running 24/7 and I don't understand why, Anybody have this problem before?

I really don't know If its a timer thing could be -I'll have to have hubby check it out. I couldn't find anything on it in the owners manual (yes I know owners manuals are useless - LOL)

Are you trying to shut it off using the manual air switch?

If the tubing from the button to the motor develops a leak while it's on you can't shut it off and vis-versa.

Master Spas come programmed to run the circ pump 24 hours. Is this a new issue? The 'circ pump' is the small pump that runs the heater and has a dedicated return. There are other pumps that come on to filter that push water through the jets. Is it a bigger pump that's running 24 hours? Is the tub up to the set temperature?

This is a fairly new issue about 6 months, and yes the spa is always up to the set temp. I do think its only the circ pump running, but when we first got the spa, circ pump would shut off and we never tried changing anything like the timer (wouldn't know where it was anyway) Hubby's thinks with it running all the time it will burn out faster.

It shouldn't burn out any faster. They're made for 24 hour use. In fact, a lot of the things that could go wrong with it (bad caps, scale build up, etc) would only be exacerbated by cycling on/off.

And now that I look closer it seems that there isn't a setting for the circ pump to come on with heat demand. The only change you can make is to have it turn off for 30 minutes if it gets 3 degrees over the set temp:

Circ Pump
Your system is equipped with a circ pump, it maybe configured to work in one of
two different ways:
1.) The circ pump operates continuously (24 hours) with the exception of
turning off for 30 minutes at a time when the water temperature reaches
3 F (1.5°C) above the set temperature (most likely to happen in very
hot climates). Contact your dealer if you would like it to operate this way.
2.) The circ pump stays on continuously, regardless of water temperature.

Does that jive with what your manual says (still have your manual?)?
