Emptying pool this weekend, anybody have any idea how long it will take to empty 7000 gal of water through 2 - 5/8" hoses?

I would guess 5 hours or more .... you dont want empty it all the way though !

The OP has an Intex pool and doesn't leave it up year round.

I use a regular garn hose to empty my 15ft intex it takes over 24hrs to empty

you can use your pool pump which will be much faster, but require you to keep an eye on it to avaoid burning out the pump. Just hook up your vacum and drop it to the bottom of the pool and filter to waste or if you have a cartridge filter, unhook the return line and attach another hose and let her drain in the yard.

Or without the pump...fill up your vacum hose with water, vacum head attached, drop it to the bottom of the pool and then drop the other end to ground level out of the pool and siphon that way...much faster than garden hoses
