Quick Touch 4 w/ Easy Touch

I recently installed an Easy Touch 4 with an Itellichlor and Intelliflo pump. The system works great. I also hooked up a Quick Touch 4 wireless remote. It comes with the RF unit and small 4 button remote. I have it all wired up and the lights on the RF unit show everything is functioning properly. The problem is that nothing is turning off or on with the remote. I tried numerous circuits ( lights, pump, ect.) in the QT menu and have gone over the com wire several times.. Pentair support has no clue. Anyone familiar with this little remote? The instructions are very vauge. They talk about linking up the large wireless remote but fail to mention the small 4 button.
