:?: hi
we have a 27" above groung pool with a leak in the liner.
we have tried the food coloring test, looking on the outside for water,(we did find 1 leak that way) checked the skimmer and return lines.
heard about cutting up paper towel, no help.
tried a hose fill with water to listen for a leak.
the pool place wants $150 to send out a diver with no gaurentee.

is there a product i can use that i would just pour into the pool?

any other ideas for finding the leak?

would appreciate any help. :?:

Welcome to TFP!

FIrst, make sure you have a leak. Do a bucket test by comparing the evaporation rate of a bucket of pool water sitting on a ladder or step with the rate of the pool water.

Try 24 hours with the pump off and 24 hours with the pump on. If pump on is faster, look for a leak in the plumbing. The backwash line (if you have one) would be the first place to check.
