Intro and prob with backswimmers

Hello all,
We are the proud owners of our first pool. It is saltwater, 24,000 gallon in-ground. We live in Louisiana. We are having a problems with backswimmers. Anyone have a solution?

Hey TheWebsters Welcome to TFP!!

Sufficient chlorine ought discourage them, but not always

Borates will discourage both algae and bugs - please see Pool School (linked in my sig)

Using the skimmer net is a sure fire way to get them out of the pool

There have been a few discussions on this, feel free to use the search function to see better/ more practical advice on these beasties
