CYA What do I need to buy? And salt test strips?

My pool got green and ive been fighting with it ever since.

Im positive i need to add CYA but i have no clue what to look for or buy.

Ive got an 18x48 Intex w/ the intexSWG approx 4800 gals.

Our local Leslies pool supply did not earn my support last week so im not going back there.
So i need to know where I can get CYA and salt test strips.

Can anyone help?

Can you post some numbers for us to look at? What makes you think your CYA is low?
How do you test your water?

It would also be helpful to us if you list your equipment in your signature. You will find it at the top left corner under user control panel, profile, edit signature. It alo will help if you cold list where you live City, State or Country if not in the USA.

No clue on numbers! lol

Im using a liquid HTH test kit for Chlorine and Ph and the Intex test strips for chlorine, ph and something else thats green! My STG is an Intex and it only tells you low salt or high salt which then shuts the pump off.

The numbers from Leslies were not accurate because she put in 7600 gals of water for my pool and max in the book is only like 5000 gals.

You need to find out how much CYA is in your water so you know how much chlorine you need to shock your pool.

The test results from Leslie's won't be affected by the wrong size; it would only affect any recommendations they made. Since you only have the little kit, please post the Leslie's numbers.
