Can damage be done by too much water in pool?

I have been away from home for a few days and it has been pouring. Again today it is supposed to rain all day, heavily. I wont be home till about 9 tonight and am wondering if the pool has too much water in it, can this damage anything? Thanks.

The skimmer won't "skim" very well.
Your chem levels may be diluted a bit.
You should boost the chlorine level with some bleach for sure, by 2-3ppm, to deal with the added organic load.
