CL question

The SWG went on July 6 and after running for 2 days the pool smelled of algae and was showing very vey low CL levels (I can't find my notes). We also had some heavy rain in the meantime. I added 3 gallons of 6% on Thursday (I think). The SWG was running on Boost mode. I went out of town on Friday and when I cam back

on the 14th I tested:
PH 6.0ish
FC 12.5
CC .5
CYA 40
TA 30 OR 140 (this is off because of the high CL)
I added 1.5 boxes of Boarx and dropped the SWG from 60% to 40%

On the 15th
PH was 7.2 and FC was 13

This morning
PH was 7.0 and FC was 11.5
I added another 1.5 Boxes of Borax and dropped the SWG to 20%

I am concerned that the CL isn't dropping, admittedly we haven't had a lot of sunshine this week. Will it drop on its own and Should I just shut up and swim? (c:

A high FC can influence the exact colors you see on the test, but the procedure remains the same: Look for it to start changing color, then look for it to stop changing color. High chlorine should not affect the accuracy of the test. So, what is the TA really?
