Return jet aimed to high?

I just posted a pump issue, but thought it was best to post this one seperately. Our pool was installed yesterday. We have the filter running and the return jet in the pool is aimed away from the skimmer but we think is aimed too high because we can see lots of bubbles on top of the water- we hear the water jetting in and we see the water jetting in. We have tried moving the 'eye' but it doesn't move. We believe it is aimed in the right direction but too high. How do we lower it so it returns the water lower into the pool. Thank you.

Thanks Mike, we haven't been in the pool yet :-D We have been trying to move it by putting our hand down in the pool and had no luck. We haven't gotten our steps in the pool yet, but are going to put up something temporary so we can put the steps in until the deck is done- which hopefully will happen soon! We will try it as soon as we can. Thanks again.

I've found that when trying to loosen that ring from the top, a rubber glove really helps you get a good grip to turn it with. :goodjob: Oh, and if you do it this way, remember that the eye will turn a bit when you tighten the ring up, so compensate for that when you tighten it.

and you're very welcome! :-D
