I'm not getting a Chlorine reading!

I have owned my pool now for 15 yrs. and have never had*

you take care of your pool like pool stores tell you to do. you should read pool-school/ and you'll find a better way (imo) of doing it. my guess is your problem is not having cya and it's not being added fast enough by the pucks. I'm assuming you have an above ground pool you drain and refill each year? reading the article in pool school that says read this before you post on the forum would also help.
